Yes, some ongoing costs usually arise: for the domain, hosting in Germany and optionally for maintenance. These items are usually manageable and itemized transparently in advance, so you know exactly what to expect monthly or annually.
Since we rely on open, license-fee-free technology, no platform or license fees arise that increase unexpectedly with the size of your site or visitor count. Online shops on Shopware Community Edition are the exception: above an annual shop revenue of more than 1 million euros, Shopware requires a paid plan. The website maintenance is optional but recommended, because it keeps your site secure and up to date. Which packages exist, we discuss individually.
